EPA was founded by Julia Battams in 2017 from a need for a structured program for people with a disability or recovering from illness or injury to engage with or return to involvement in equine sport. Since this time, EPA has evolved to become a Public Benevolent Institution endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) governed by its Constitution and a Board of Directors. Equine Pathways Australia Ltd. is also accredited as a Paralympics Australia Centre for Paralympic Preparation.
Julia, now the Executive Program Manager, has responsibility to the EPA Board of Directors for managing and delivering EPA’s program to participants. Julia is supported by a team of specialised service providers who have been involved in Equestrian sport for many years, not only in able-bodied sport, but also in Riding for the Disabled, High Performance and Paralympic sport.
The Board of Equine Pathways Australia Limited is committed to
ensuring that fundraising activities are carried out in an appropriate
manner.
