Every year in September, The MRC Foundation hosts one of the most treasured days on the racing calendar to raise funds for participating charity partners, which EPA is lucky enough to be part of.
The 2023 Caulfield Charity Family Day raised a record of more than $300,000 which was distributed amongst our 16 charity partners, with EPA receiving a generous donation of $26,000.
Jungle Edge played a crucial role as EPA ambassador, making an appearance in the mounting yard, along with Abby Vidler and Indiana Marks.
MRC Foundation Chairman Brooke Dawson said it was the perfect day for the occasion, with the fine weather and trackside cheer combining to encourage fantastic fundraising results.
“It was great to see such a spectacular turn out,” she said.
“The remarkable spring weather coupled with the high spirit of racegoers really encapsulated the lively essence of our family day and brought out the charitable giving in everyone.
“The generosity of our sponsors, members and guests has not gone unnoticed. Without their invaluable contributions, we would not have been able to raise a record amount of funds for our 16 incredible charity partners and their important causes.”
An enormous thank you to the Melbourne Racing Club, MRC Foundation, Lamaros Hotel and Gai Waterhouse Racing.
